NDIS Verification vs Certification
Understand your audit pathway before choosing your documentation system
Verification and Certification are the two main audit pathways for providers applying for NDIS registration.
Your required pathway depends on the supports and services you apply to deliver—not simply your profession or business size. The NDIS Commission confirms your audit type in your Initial Scope of Audit after you submit your registration application.
Already have your Initial Scope of Audit? Use the audit type and relevant Practice Standards listed in that document when choosing your documentation system.
What is an NDIS Verification audit?
Verification generally applies to providers delivering lower-risk or lower-complexity supports and services.
A Verification audit is primarily a desktop review. An approved quality auditor reviews the required documents and evidence relating to your organisation, professional qualifications and relevant provider systems.
Depending on your scope, your documentation may need to demonstrate how your organisation manages areas such as:
- Worker qualifications and human resources
- Risk management
- Complaints management
- Incident management
- Relevant professional requirements
- Required records and supporting evidence
Launchly’s Verification Documentation System provides editable policies, forms and registers designed to give Verification pathway providers a structured place to begin organising their documentation.
What is an NDIS Certification audit?
Certification applies to providers delivering one or more higher-risk or more complex NDIS supports and services.
A Certification audit generally takes place in two stages:
Stage 1: Desktop audit
Your approved quality auditor reviews your documents, systems and supporting evidence.
Stage 2: Onsite audit
Your auditor examines how your policies and procedures are implemented in practice. This may involve reviewing records, visiting service locations, interviewing workers and participants, and observing how supports are delivered.
Certification providers may be assessed against the Core Module and any supplementary modules relevant to the supports and services they provide.
Launchly’s Certification Documentation System provides a more comprehensive collection of editable policies, forms, registers and operational documents to support providers organising their Certification documentation.

How do I confirm which pathway applies to me?
1. Submit your NDIS registration application
Your application identifies the registration groups and supports your organisation intends to provide.
2. Check your email from the NDIS Commission
After submitting your application, you will receive an Initial Scope of Audit.
3. Review your audit information
Your Initial Scope of Audit explains:
- Whether you require Verification or Certification
- Your registration groups or classes of support
- Your service-delivery types
- The relevant NDIS Practice Standards
- The information you need to provide to your auditor
4. Confirm the requirements with your auditor
Provide your Initial Scope of Audit to an approved quality auditor and confirm the evidence and documentation relevant to your organisation.
Launchly provides editable documentation templates and does not determine your audit pathway or guarantee registration or audit outcomes. Templates must be reviewed, customised and implemented to accurately reflect your organisation, workers, participants, services and everyday operations.

About Our Templates
Q: Are Launchly’s policies and documents NDIS compliant?
Yes. All Launchly templates are aligned with the latest NDIS Practice Standards and are structured to meet audit requirements.
Q: What format are the documents in?
All templates are provided in editable Word (.docx) format. You can easily customise them using Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
Q: Can I edit the templates with my business details?
Yes. Each document includes placeholder text that you can replace with your business name, logo, and contact information.
Q: Are these templates suitable for unregistered providers?
Yes. Many providers use Launchly templates to demonstrate professionalism and compliance, even if they are not yet NDIS registered.
Bundles vs. Single Policies
Q: What’s the difference between bundles and single policies?
* Bundles include all core policies + companion documents (e.g., service agreements, registers).
* Singles let you purchase individual policies if you’re only missing one or two.
Q: Which option should I choose?
If you’re starting from scratch, bundles are the most cost-effective way to cover compliance. If you already have a set of documents, singles are a good way to fill gaps.
Companion Documents
Q: What are companion documents?
These are additional templates—such as service agreements, registers, intake forms, and assessment tools—that auditors expect to see alongside your policies.
Q: Are companion documents included in bundles?
Yes. Each profession-specific bundle includes the relevant companion documents for that role.
Using Launchly
Q: How do I receive my documents after purchase?
All files are delivered instantly by email as a digital download link.
Q: Can I use these documents across multiple businesses?
No. Each purchase is licensed for one business only. If you operate multiple businesses, you’ll need separate licenses.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
Because our products are digital downloads, we do not offer refunds. Please check product descriptions carefully before purchase.

Q: Can you customise the policies for me?
Yes. Add our Customisation Service at checkout, and we’ll tailor your policy pack with your business details and workflows.
Q: How long does customisation take?
Typically 5–7 business days depending on the size of your pack and requirements.
General
Q: Do you update your templates when NDIS rules change?
